First snow

at 12:42 0 comments
Every first snow that I remember from my whole life experience with snow has always been really early at the very start of the day.
One happy, amazing morning of December as you wake up and are preparing your morning cup of coffee/ tea you look up to the windows and everything in front of you is in the color of alpine white (inspiration from my O.P.I. nail polish, don't judge me). The big street, the tall building and the small shop in front of your house are covered with SNOW and you run up to your mother to tell her.
But this year, as stupid as it may sound, snow surprised me and the first falling of 2015 for my city was at the end of November 28.11.2015 at about 8 pm. So as I'm saying goodbye to my friend and I'm about to go out of the restaurant in the mall with some shopping bags (Christmas shopping gone early, yo) I see from the terrace that it's raining heavily.
I sight and have a mini heart break because if you spend an hour doing your hair you won't enjoy rain as much, no matter how poetic you percieve it. I make my way to the exit, somehow balacing all my bags with my ninja skills and next thing I know,
THERE IS SNOW FALLING EVERYWHERE.
No matter your age you are obligated as a human being to get super crazy excited over snow and the CHRISTMAS season in general.
So sorry for this totally unneccessary post, hope you will understand my childish reaction and thank you so much for wasting your time reading this.

Tears and pizza

at 06:08 0 comments
Have you ever been kicked out of class for helping a friend during a test? You were almost ready with your Math exam, absolutely sure about your perfect grade after studying your butt off but you see your friend struggling with it and it's your duty as a bestie to help them.
Well, that's exactly what I went through yesterday and if you have been in a similar situation you know it feels like the end of the world has come and the whole planet had been set on fire, along with your dreams of having an A in that subject. And if you are as emotional and dramatic as us, you will just sit on a bench nearby your school and cry your heart out for at least an hour.
Hormones.
People will just walk right past you and look at you with curiosity, trying to guess what actually happened to these crazy girls over there. Maybe nothing that dramatic happened, maybe it's just a single grade that the teacher won't even remember two days from now on and maybe deep down there, in the back of our minds we realized that. But at the exact moment it felt important. So after a while of pointless weeping we both suddenly started laughing at our dramaticness (is this a real word?) and went to the nearby diner to have some pizza.
I can't deny that even now when I think about it, I'm still feeling a little bit dissapointed but whatever, this is just a single grade. Though, I feel awkward when I imagine how many of the cool kids in school saw us sobbing our way through the hallways.

Lessons of the day:

1. No matter how dramatic something seems, it definitely won't matter as much in a few hours.
2. Grades aren't permanent, you could always get a second chance.
3. Be careful and don't sacrifice your own well-being in order to help and make others happy.
4. Teenagers are overemotional and there's nothing you can do about it.
5. Pizza cures the heart like magic.

And if you feel like you have no control over your own feelings and can't help crying about something nonvital just try to laugh it off and you will instantly feel better, I promise.

Hi there.

You are here.

I have no clue how you found this random blog in the whole universe of the Internet, but you did.
Now that you are reading this, it’s time for me to introduce myself- I’m Maria (which may sound somewhat original to you but it’s actually one of the most common female names in my country), I’m almost 16 years old and as every white and proud teenage girl that is trying to fit in this crazy world I have ombre hair, wear winged eyeliner on daily basis and drink too much Starbucks for my own good. I’m sarcastic, silly and witty at the same time. Oh, and I’m obsessed with UGGs, candles and green tea.
Yes, I’m that basic.
But I also read poetry, fangirl over Korean dramas and manga, write short horror stories and play League of Legends. The best of both worlds. On this blog I will share with you random things that are on my mind. I will review makeup, beauty things and just stuff in general, I will post some of my short stories, inspirational quotes, maybe look books- who knows.
So give me a chance and follow me, promise you are not going to be disappointed! :3
